On September 5th, 2012, Harvard University released a photo of an archeological find from the fourth century of a papyri fragment with an inscription stating,"Jesus had a wife".
Harvard Divinity School Professor, Karen L. King says this fragment is the only known document which explicitly states Jesus had a wife.
Professor King along with her colleague, Princeton University religion professor AnneMarie Luijendijk went on to point out that the papyri fragment explicitly states, "Jesus said to them, 'My wife ...' “ and on another line of the fragment it says, "she will be able to be my disciple."
